New upcoming King Diamond shows in Europe 2016.

The announced shows of the upcoming European 2016 tour have been added to the tour date list, more to come soon.

Some of the upcoming shows are:
Fortarock in The Netherlands, Sweden Rock Festival in Sweden and Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium.

The full Abigail album from 1987 will be performed at the show as well as other chosen tracks from King Diamond’s career in both King Diamond and Mercyful Fate.

Pontus Egberg has officially joined King Diamond.

On December 23, 2104, is was officially announced that Pontus Egberg joins King Diamond fulltime as their new bass player after preforming with the band as a stand-in on a handful of dates in Europe and an almost sold-out tour in the US.

Pontus has been a member of Swedish rock band The Poodles for the last eight years and 5 albums. It was announced on September 10th, 2014 that he parted ways with them.

It’s official: Pontus Egberg from The Poodles and Dark Illusion is the stand-in bass player in King Diamond.

Hal Patino has been fired from King Diamond

King Diamond posted the following on thier official website (

“Hal Patino has been relieved of his duties with King Diamond, for reasons very similar to why he was fired from the band in 1990.

This will have NO negative impact on our upcoming shows whatsoever. On the contrary.
